2026 PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST

CONTEST CATEGORIES
-PLANTS = Wildflowers-Trees-Shrubs-Fungi
-WILDLIFE = Animals-Birds-Insects-Reptiles-Amphibians
-PEOPLE USING the PARK=not to include easily identifiable faces
-LANDSCAPES = Campsites-Broad Park Scenes-All Seasons

CONTEST RULES

Photos must be taken within the Park within 2025 and 2026

1 Photo entry per person. Photo must have been taken by that person

Friends of Council Grounds members, DNR employees and families are not eligible to enter

• Edited, digitally enhanced or panoramic not accepted

• Submit clear, color, jpeg photos to reproduce well into 8 x10 size

• Amateur photographers only, to be fair to all ages

• Photos must include:

1. Category and Title for photo if desired

2. Date Taken

3. Photographers’ name

4. Mailing and Email address

5. Phone number

By entering, photographers agree to allow their photo to be used/copied/displayed without compensation, for any future use by FoCGSP. The FoCGSP reserves the right to reject any photo not properly labeled, does not comply with rules, or that is deemed inappropriate in any way.

Submit photos beginning July 1, 2026, until July 31, 2026, with your contact info and any questions by email to cgphotos@hotmail.com

1^st Place in each category will receive a 1-year State Park vehicle admission sticker valid from December 2026 through December 2027

2^nd Place will receive a Council Grounds Merchandise certificate valued at up to $15

FoCGSP members will select the top 3 photos in each category, which will be displayed in the Park office and T.B.Scott Free Library, Merrill for public voting from August 15-31, 2026. Voting can also be done on Facebook Friends of Council Grounds State Park page.
