The Friends of Council Grounds have an enthusiastic Flower Team that has enjoyed making the entrance to the park more colorful with annual plants. You may have noticed their beauty as you approach the entrance.  

Native plants have also been enhancing the native plant beds near the campfire wood sale shed. This plant bed required removing the invasive plants, then adding and labeling the new plantings.  The Flower Team has a rotating schedule to help with the watering, weeding, and maintaining the native plants. 

With the help of the Friends of Council Grounds State Park Wood Team, natural wood chips have been added to help designated plants grow. The Friends group has supplied the funds for the Flower Team projects.
